ALDERFORD Lake will be getting into the spirit of things next month, with Bonfire Night and Christmas events galore.

First up will be the lake's Bonfire and Firework Extravaganza, on Saturday, November 6.

The site will open from 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6pm and 'sound-sensitive' fireworks being launched at 7pm, with live music taking place shortly afterwards.

There will be the 'ultimate' display at 8pm, with live music again from 8.30pm.

Also on site will be fairground rides, hot drinks and various food stalls and a bar.

A spokesman for the venue said: "Join us for two spectacular firework displays, a huge bonfire plus all the fun of the fair, and plenty of food, drink and music throughout the evening."

Starting on November 20 and running on selected dates until December 23 will be Alderford Lake's 'Santa Experience'.

The event will run from 11am until 4pm.

The venue's spokesman said: "Rediscover the moments that make Christmas magical at Alderford Lake's Santa Experience.

"Step into a magical Winter wonderland with your family.

"Take a special boat ride across the lake to discover Santa's story, it's a tale never heard before, full of surprises, fun and laughter – guaranteed to spark the Christmas spirit for the young and old alike – of course, a gift awaits you in the Christmas grotto."

November and December will also see two runnings of the venue's Christmas Market.

The event will run on November 27 to 28 and again on December 4 to5, from 12noon until 9pm on the Saturdays and 10am until 4pm on the Sundays.

The venue spokesman said: "Soak up the festive atmosphere, whilst making your way around our extensive array of market stalls, including gifts, crafts, and sweet treats.

"Alongside the market stalls will be our food and drink court, featuring all your festive favourites to delight your tastebuds this Christmas.

"And if this wasn't enough, there will be live music all day to help you get into the festive spirit dancing the night away.

"And, of course, Father Christmas will be attending, to spread some of his Christmas cheer."

"If you are interested in trading at our Christmas Markets, please email for more information."
