A WHITCHURCH beauty salon can officially call itself one of the best in the country after winning a national award.
Lily's Beauty Salon, in High Street, was recently shortlisted for the Boutique Salon of the Year award, along with five other competitors.
At the Professional Beauty Awards 2021 finals, held in London on October 17, the salon was announced as the winner of the award.
Gemma Bannerman, salon owner, said she was delighted with the achievement.
Announcing the victory on social media, she said: "We are really pleased to announce that last night we won the Boutique Salon of the Year 2021.
"I just want to thank my team as without their support none of this would be possible.
"Most of you will know I have waited a long time for this award, all I can say is that it feels truly amazing."
The award win added to a growing trophy cabinet for Gemma and her staff, having last year won the SME News' UK Enterprise Award for Beauty salon of the Year 2020 for Shropshire.
