Martin Lewis has issued advice on how people can save money, and in some cases, get free tickets for the cinema.

With Hollywood blockbuster like James Bond's No Time To Die and new Marvel hit Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, cinema trips are popular at the moment.

The Money Saving Expert founder shared the advice to ITV viewers on Thursday night on The Martin Lewis Money Show Live.

The cash-saving guru shared plenty of advice on the ongoing energy crisis in the UK before turning to a more light-hearted money saving hack.

With a family trip to the cinema now an expensive day out with tickets costing as much as £11, the consumer rights champions had advice on savings to be made.

Mr Lewis said it was as easy as downloading an app to your phone for some reason.

O2 customers could get free cinema tickets

Martin Lewis highlighted that O2 customers are able to get their hands on free cinema tickets via the O2 priority app.

The phone network giant releases 10,000 tickets for free every Monday and Mr Lewis had advice on the best time to go online to grab them.

He said: “Be on the app on a Tuesday and you should be able to get a ticket.”

Vodaphone customers can get cinema tickets for £7

Martin Lewis also revealed Vodaphone customers can get two cinema tickets for just £7.

He explained how easy it is to take advantage of the offer, Vodaphone customers should simply log onto the MyVodaphone  to get their tickets.

Compare the Market

For those who aren’t on O2 or Vodaphone Mr Lewis revealed cinema tickets are often part of a deal when signing up to new insurance companies.

He said it was worth checking if Compare the Market could find you a good deal if you were swapping insurers.

New deals can often come with a free cinema ticket offer when you sign up.

All cinema ticket deals are only available to use on Tuesday’s and Wednesdays.
