A PROLIFIC paedophile has been sent to jail again after he breached court orders designed to prevent him offending against children.

Richard Barlow, of 3 Arowy, in Hanmer, outside Whitchurch, was sentenced to 14 months in prison at Mold Crown Court on Thursday, September 15 for breaching two sexual harm prevention orders.

He had previously been jailed in 2014 for posing as Canadian popstar Justin Bieber to groom young girls on the internet and then was was re-sentenced in 2017 for breaking another order banning him from being within 50 metres of a play area.

Barlow had pleaded guilty to two breaches of his order, plus possession of indecent images of children, but Judge Niclas Parry told him his lack of willingness to be rehabilitated means he would be sent to prison again.

Judge Parry said: "There is no doubt you have an active interest in children and that comes out in urges.

"Those urges are so strong that you knew how disgusting the images were, but you still couldn’t help yourself.

"What you did was to view images knowing that you shouldn’t and that knowing that you would be caught, but you didn’t stop yourself.

"I can’t be persuaded that you’re willing to be engaged in intervention.

"I wouldn’t be doing my public duty and while bearing all things in mind, such as your guilty plea and Covid-19, I sentence you to 14 months for the breaches.

"I am simply unable to suspend your sentence."
