MORE details have bee n released about Ellesmere Cricket Club's upcoming Sausage & Cider Festival.

The event is set to be held over the weekend of September 9-11 with a variety of meats and drinks alongside musical entertainment and a club fixture on the Saturday.

The club, in Beech Road, has confirmed that the ciders will be from breweries in the area while butchers from the town, as well as Overton, and hope people will enjoy.

The club said: "Here's the heads up on those all important sausages.

"The Ellesmere Sausage – Mereside Farm and Rodney Stokes continues to produce the award winning 100-year-old traditional sausage named after the town in which it was created.

"The Oteley Sausage is new to the market and comes from the self-sustainable grounds of one of Ellesmere's traditional estates on the banks of the Mere itself.

"Cracked Black Pepper Sausage – B Hawkins & Sons Family Butchers, which continues to provide the town with fantastic produce and the beef and mustard Sausage from Overton over the Border in Wales."
