A DRIVER in Whitchurch has told of her terror after she was rammed by a lorry on a roundabout in the town.

Michelle Williams, from Wrexham, was leaving Whitchurch with her family on Tuesday, August 23 when her car was hit from behind by a lorry.

According to Michelle, the lorry then pushed the car onto the roundabout, before driving off.

Michelle was able to get the car to a safe location to call the police and was able to drive home, but says she is shaken by the incident.

In a post shared on Facebook, she said: "I've never been that scared in my life, me, Les, Hollie and the kids were in the car and waiting to pull out the junction in Wrexham Road, and a white lorry rams into the back of our car.

"The kids were screaming and then the lorry rams us again, then again, pushing me into road.

"Cars coming towards me so my instinct was just to get out the way to safety, all I could see through my mirror was the white grill of the lorry.

"I got across the other side of the roundabout thinking the lorry was following but no, he disappeared and didn't even have the decency to stop with me."

Michelle says she is now looking for anyone who was witness to the incident.

"I phoned the police, went into Starbucks, Aldi, and the petrol station but nothing, no cameras to see the incident," she added.

"I managed to drive it back home but it shook me up so much, I've cried loads, I'm an emotional wreck.

"I wish there was a witness about to have seen it and helped us.

"I'm still emotional about it and can't believe that driver took off without stopping."

West Mercia Police has been approached for comment.
