FIREFIGHTERS from Oswestry and Ellesmere were called out to a tractor fire on Friday.

Two crews – one from each station – were sent to the scene on the A495 outside Hardwick Hall, between Ellesmere and Whittington – at around 11.10am.

They found a trailer and its near side brake attached to a tractor on fire and used one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to put out the blaze.

They spent around 15 minutes at the scene.
