LOVERS of both cider and sausages with a bit of cricket thrown in are in for a treat over one September weekend.
Ellesmere Cricket Club, in Birch Road, is holding the Sausage and Cider Festival over the weekend of September 10-12 with cricket and music joining the festivities too.
On Friday, September 10, there will be a live open folk sessions with fun and games, starting at 5pm and running through to 11pm.
On Saturday, September 11, the club will be open from 11am until 11pm with the club's first team fixture against Chelmarsh taking centre stage, followed by live music.
On Sunday, September 12, there will be the President's Day including the chairman's canal jump.
Live music over the weekend will be presented by The Kickstones, who are local to Ellesmere and will be re-uniting for the festival and there will also be music from Reece Wiltshire-Fessey, who was a finalist in X-Factor The Band.
