A CAR was partially damaged by fire on the bypass at Market Drayton on Thursday.
The incident on the A53 happened shortly after 3pm.
One fire crew from the town attended and were joined at the scene by a fire investigation officer and West Mercia Police.
A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the saloon vehicle was 50 per cent damaged by fire, and breathing apparatus and hosereel jets were used to put out the blaze.
Fire crews left the scene at around 3.40pm.
