CROWS of Wem be warned – the town is holding another scarecrow trail.
The trail will be held in lieu of the cancellation of the town’s popular carnival, over uncertainty around the loosening of Covid-19 social distancing regulations.
Anyone wishing to enter the trail must have their entry form completed by 12pm on Saturday, August 14 and their scarecrows must be displayed between Monday, August 16 to Saturday, August 21.
After the closing date, judging sheets can be collected with a route map (for a voluntary donation) to assist the committee with their judging and must be returned by August 21.
Entry forms can be collected from the Fruitful Deli with £5 per entrant and results will be announced on the Wem Community Facebook page on Monday, August 23 and in the Deli’s window.
Proceeds for the event go to Wem Youth Club and Stage Door.
