MALPAS Parish Council will consider a requests from Malpas Cricket Club and the community minibus at this month's council meeting.

The council will meet on Wednesday, May 26 at Malpas Jubilee Hall from 7pm, for the first face-to-face meeting in more than a year.

Several administrative items will be discussed by councillors, including committee appointments, and deciding on the chairman for the coming year.

Councillors will also discus the grant applications the council has received.

The parish council has received grant application from five groups, totalling £6,262 in applications.

The biggest application is from Malpas Cricket Club, which has requested £2,500 for replacement cricket sight screens.

Malpas Young Persons Project has also requested £1,500, while Hope House has requested £1,000 for a new specialist 'cuddle bed'.

The other requests are from Malpas Community Minibus Association for £900 to cotribute to insurance costs and £362 for Malpas Community Clean up.
