A CAFÉ in Oswestry town centre is celebrating reopening indoors with the launch of an all-new cocktail menu in its new dining area.

Square One, in Festival Square, has launched its cocktail menu after reopening on Monday, in line with the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.

The café is now fully-licensed to serve alcohol between the hours of 5pm and 10pm, and will be serving cocktails alongside a new food menu.

General manager, Rob Wolstenholme, is looking forward to offering something different at the new indoor dining area upstairs at Square One.

He said: “We had about three weeks of welcoming customers into the new dining area before Christmas, but then we went into lockdown again.

“It was nice and smooth sailing when we opened upstairs, but it has been closed for five months since.

“The design team has worked really hard to get everything right and in place.

“It was a nice trial run and it’s really nice to have the doors open again now.”

The café has been busy operating outdoors only in recent weeks, as businesses began reopening in the town.

Rob, who is the general manager at Gillham’s Deli, said customers have still been enjoying their time outdoors this week.

He said: “We’ve had Gillham’s open as well and our team is back with some new employees which has been great.

“We’ve had a decent amount of people upstairs, but the terrace outside has been full again.

“There was a steady flow of people on Monday both in and outdoors – I still think some people are more comfortable outdoors.”

The cocktail menu is now available indoors at Square One between 5pm and 10pm.

Square One will be open between 8am and 10pm every day. For more information, visit Square One Oswestry on Facebook.
