A ROAD user in Whitchurch has been given a ticking off by police after being spotted driving in an anti-social manner.
The driver received a Section 59 Warning Notice from members of Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) on Monday.
Section 59 allows the police to give drivers a warning if they are reported to have used their vehicle in a manner which causes 'alarm, distress or annoyance'.
A spokesman for the SNT warned that further bad driving could result in the vehicle being seized.
"A Section 59 Warning Notice has been issued to a driver in Whitchurch yesterday after they were witnessed driving in an anti-social manner," said the spokesman.
"If you are seen to be driving in a manner that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others you could receive a warning from the police.
"This will be recorded with us and if you are caught driving inconsiderately again within a twelve month period, in any vehicle, the vehicle will be seized."
