A former Newtown High School pupil who has recently graduated from one of the UK’s most prestigious art schools is exhibiting her work at a climate change exhibition in Caersws.

Fine Art graduate Imogen Rendall was unable to hold her final degree show at the Wimbledon School of Art in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, her artwork named ‘Hereafter’ and ‘Remnants’ have been selected to go on display at Mid Wales Arts Centre for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.

Cathy Knapp, from Mid Wales Arts Centre, said: “Imogen's work focuses on Climate Change issues and was chosen on its own merit from hundreds of other entries from all over the UK.”

Imogen has applied to study art therapy and is currently volunteering and working with Compass Community Care in Newtown.

All visitors to the exhibition are invited to vote for the artwork that has influenced them the most and Imogen is a contender for the prize.
