WHITCHURCH Photography Society is looking forward to next season as it reveals the top shots from the previous season.

The group, which is usually based in Pearl Yard, has been meeting virtually for the last 12 months.

This has not stopped members from showing off their best photographs, with regular meetings over Zoom.

Club president, Sandy Robertson, says members are looking forward to returning in September.

"Despite the problems caused by the pandemic over the last year we have had a successful season with many members managing to meet every week for either lectures, competitions and even a couple of quizzes via Zoom," said Sandy.

"The current season has now ended and re-commences on September 14, hopefully in our usual premises at Pearl Yard.

"However, our programme secretary has built in contingency plans in case things haven't returned to 'normal' by then.

"Over the summer we are hoping to meet face-to-face outdoors as we are allowed more freedom to travel to specific venues to practice our photography skills.

"It's also an opportunity to catch up with members we have not seen for over a year.

"Our new programme commences on September 14 and looks to be exciting and innovative with something for everyone.

"We welcome new members from beginners to the more experienced photographers to our friendly club.
