Although not yet offering food, the business said it won't be long before they will be able to welcome customers back inside for a bite to eat.

The coffee shop was one of several businesses that suffered serious flood damage when the rains of Storm Christoph caused the drains under the town to fail.

Such is the love the community have for Abda, more than £12,000 has been donated to a Go Fund Me page set up to help the flooded business get back on solid ground.

Sharing the news on Facebook, they said: "We are very pleased to announce that we are reopening on Friday, May 7 for Takeaway Drinks, Cakes and Retail!

"We will gradually reintroduce food and hope to soon be open for sit in, depending on government guidelines.

"We are unbelievably excited to show you all the renovation.

"We have completely changed things up but feel it is still the Abda you know and love.

"It is also our 3rd birthday on the May 5 so what better way to celebrate than welcoming you all back?

"We would like to thank everyone single person who had assisted us along this renovating journey.

"It wouldn’t have happened without your generous donations, kind messages, physical help and love.

"So...who’s coming down?"

Abda will be open on Friday and Saturday this week between 9am-4pm.
