A HAIRDRESSER from Whixall has received worldwide recognition of her skills after winning an international award.
Ruby Ankers, 21, has recently been crowned the winner of the Social Media Hair and Beauty Awards' (SMHBA) Hairdresser of the Year.
This award follows her success in January, when she was nominated for Hair Stylist of the Year by the British Hair and Beauty Awards.
To win the award, Ruby shared a photo of her best work on the SMHBA social media pages, with the entries being voted on by members of the public.
Ruby, who operates in a salon in Ellesmere, says she is 'over the moon' with the win, announcing her victory on social media.

"Worldwide first place OMG.
"Thank you all so so so much for voting for me – without your support this wouldn’t have been possible."
Ruby added: "I can't believe it, I'm just over the moon."
