A WHITCHURCH author and specialist in Persian cooking has seen her recipe book become a best seller both online and in shops.
Rebekah Jones, 39 and of Haroldgate, published a book with Persian recipes and short stories during the first national lockdown in 2020.
Since then the book has reached number 14 in the Amazon Best sellers ranking, out of more than six million books
The book has also been picked up by national book shops such as Waterstones, WH Smiths, Foyles and The Book Depository.
When her publishers enquired about a second book, Rebekah decided to give something back to a cause she feels personally about.
"I have a passion for teaching, especially children, how to cook and watching the delight and amazement in children's eyes as the learn new skills," said Rebekah.
"Cooking if a life skill that is missing from the UK educational system and one that encompasses a range of elements such as problem solving, English, mathematics and social and emotional development.
"Being able to support a cause such as Feeding Britain UK through donations from my supper clubs and online spice subscriptions.
"Also, setting up and running cooking classes across the county in collaboration with the charity for school holidays is something I am also excited and thrilled about."
