A NORTH Shropshire police officer has confirmed 20 prosecutions ‘are underway’ after police responded to large gatherings of motorcyclists in Whitchurch last week.
Road policing officers were called to the Whitchurch area on Thursday, April 15 in response to community concerns relating to large gatherings.
Inspector Claire Greenaway, a North Shropshire Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector, confirmed offences were detected by officers which responded.
She posted on Twitter: “Thursday, April 15 saw my road policing colleagues respond to community concerns in relation to large gatherings of motorcyclists in the Whitchurch area.
“Although most attending presented no issues, 20 prosecutions are now underway for offences detected.”
