TWO sisters from Whitchurch have done their bit for charity by donating a length of their hair to the Little Princess Trust.

Maddie, 6 and Charley, 12, have both been growing their hair throughout lockdown, with the aim of donating to the charity.

The Little Princess Trust is a specialist charity that provides thousands of real hair wigs to sick children and young people, aged up to 24 years across the UK and Ireland.

Maddie and Charley's mum, Michaela, says she was unsure about the girls' wish to have their hair cut short, so set them the challenge of growing it longer for charity.

She said: "They have always wanted to have their hair cut short, but we didn't like the idea of it, so during lockdown we said if they grow it we can send it off to The little princess trust, and raise some money at the same time.

"Maddie has had 10.5 inches and Charley has had 12 inches.

"The goal is £150, but we are currently at £215."
