A POPULAR antiques fair will return to Oswestry this month once Covid-19 restrictions are eased.

The Oswestry Antique and Collectors Fair will take place at Oswestry Showgroun on April 17 and 18, following the easing of restrictions on April 12.

After a difficult year, organisers Emma and Oli Jones of JOS Events Ltd, said hard work has been put in to ensure traders and visitors will be able to enjoy their events safely.

Emma said: “We could see the financial impact that last year had on traders with many events unable to go ahead and many of our traders shielding.

“So now with the vaccination program well under way, we are seeing our traders excitedly call us up saying they are jabbed and ready to get back to it.

“We simply can’t wait to get cracking this year with our first event at Oswestry Showground on the April 17 and 18, and we will be one of the first events to go ahead after lockdown is lifted.”

The fair has been a favourite of popular BBC One show, Bargain Hunt, which filmed at the event in 2020.

When asked if they will be filming in Oswestry again this year, Emma responded: “You’ll have to come along and see.”

It offers a mix of antiques, collectables from gold and silver to antique stamps, glass, porcelain, antique furniture, reclamation, architectural salvage, Vintage homewares, clothing and much more.

The event is dog friendly, with free parking available at Oswestry Showground.
