THOSE taking a walk up Whitchurch High Street today might wonder how much has changed in the last few decades.
Fortunately, thanks to our archives and new technology, we can give a direct comparison of what the streets of Whitchurch looked like in the 1960s and today.
We've taken four pictures of Whitchurch in days gone by, and used sliders to compare them to the same scenes in 2021.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the character of the town has remained, although of course the names and faces - not to mention the fashions and the vehicles - look quite different.
