FORMER Ellesmere Rangers and Shrewsbury Town player Steve Jagielka has died, aged 43.
The older brother of former Everton and current Sheffield United man Phil, Jagielka was at Beech Grove around 2012 and was part of the club's management team.
The news was confirmed on social media by another of his former clubs AFC Telford on Wednesday.
He played in the famous 2001 FA Cup win over Everton as part of a six-year spell at the club making 207 appearances before he was an integral part of the Accrington Stanley side that achieved Football League status.
He finished career playing non-league locally, with a spell at Market Drayton Town before joining Rangers.
Jagielka continued to play for Shrewsbury Town legends sides after retiring.
