AN INQUEST into the death of a man from Higher Heath found dead in a pond in Wem after an early morning road traffic collision near Wem has been adjourned until July.
Shane Cornelius Warner, 27, of Higher Heath Caravan Site, was travelling along the B5065 Soulton Road at around 1.30am on Freburary 27 when his car left the road, ending up in a nearby pond, with a resident of a nearby farm hearing the incident.
At the inquest opening, held at Shirehall in Shrewsbury on Wednesday. March 10, Shropshire Coroner John Ellery heard how at 9.49am police arrived on the scene.
At 10am it became apparent that a person was still in the vehicle and at 12.50pm Mr Warner's death was confirmed at the scene.
Mr Ellery adjourned the inquest until July 6, 2021.
