A FURTHER three Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported today in Bradford.

According to the latest NHS figures, two deaths were reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported one death.

The deaths at Bradford were reported on March 3 and the other death was reported the following day. Airedale reported its death on February 11.

It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to the latest NHS figures, stands at 832 - 575 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 255 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 174 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 84,091.

Patients were aged between 26 and 102 years old. All except six (aged 61 to 89 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from April 13, 2020 to March 4, 2021 with the majority being on or after March 1.

Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
