MEMBERS of Broxton and Bickerton WI have given their thanks to the staff working at Waverton's vaccination centre by baking a selection of sweet treats.
Throughout lockdown while unable to meet in person, group members have been keeping in contact over WhatsApp organising a series of competitions and quizzes.
With the formation of the Covid vaccination centre in Waverton near Chester, group members elected to show their support to staff by baking and donating a number of cakes.
Group member, Michelle Craddock explained.
"A member of the group, Fiona Wardle thought it would be kind to bake some cakes for the vaccinators and staff at Waverton vaccine centre, a way of saying thank you," said Michelle.
"A fantastic selection of cakes were made by the wonderful women from Broxton and Bickerton WI ladies and delivered to the vaccine centre by Fiona and another member.
"Joining in the efforts were two young fellows, Iolo Craddock from Lower Wych and Karl McMurtrie from Higher Wych , both 9-years-old.
"They also thought it would be kind and a way of saying 'thank you' to the vaccinators."
