Internet star Jackie Weaver has turned her sights on the music businesses after recording a single riffing on her notorious viral parish council meeting.

Last month Jackie, the Prees-based chief officer for Cheshire Association of Local Authorities, captured the nation's imagination and became an overnight internet sensation when a young politics activist saw the video of the meeting she was 'troubleshooting' and shared it online.

Her no-nonsense handling of the council's lively meeting struck a chord, and was viewed millions of times, even encouraging Andrew Lloyd-Webber to write a song about her.

Now she is making the most of her new-found fame by launching a collaboration with a music producer.

The pair started messaging each other with ideas after Jackie responded to a tweet in which she was tagged.

Within five days of talking about the concept, they had a finished track.

Initially Helen had to find out what sort of music Jackie liked so she could create an arrangement and backing track which Jackie would be happy to be featured on and associated with.

Helen also wanted to ascertain how the track might help support those issues close to Jackie's heart and work out how they could incorporate that.

A reference to a campaign close to Jackie's heart, 'Make A Change', is made half way through the track.

Make A Change is about encouraging greater diversity and more accurate representation in local councils.

Once Jackie had approved the demo track, Helen's husband, singer Joe Rose, was brought in to perform the remaining catchphrases.

Helen says making the song presented an opportunity to change people's views on age and respect.

"Lockdown has affected people in many different ways, during summer last year I started making music on GarageBand and I found a whole new lease of life on making music without instruments," said Helen.

"It's been going well and people have people have been playing my tracks on their shows.

"When I saw the Jackie Weaver story I thought it was hilarious, but sad as it reflects our society.

"The reason why people focused on the story was because Jackie stayed so calm in the face of aggression, which I think brought the admiration of many people."

Following this Helen tagged Jackie in a Tweet, asking if she would be interested in making a song together. The pair emailed and spoke on the phone and the track began to take shape, promoting an image of respect.

"She wanted to change the stereotype of who wants to be a councillor," added Helen. "We wanted to try and make a track that had a message.

"All three artists are either 54 or 62 and we don't think there are limitations in life, particularly in creating music. If we can do it anyone can.

"The finished track is called 'Jackie Weaver's Kicked Him Out' by Helefonix (ft Jackie Weaver and Joe Rose) and is being released on March 15.

"It is a completely 'home grown' independent project without any involvement from a record label."

Meanwhile Jackie says the song offered an opportunity to try something different while also promoting the workings of local government.

"Not many women coming towards the end of their working lives have the opportunity to try something different – still feel true to their values and also feel safe," said Jackie. "Helen offered me that opportunity and I took it.

"I felt it connected me with a world I had never felt part of – a world of creativity.

"People will see that you don’t have to be old and dull to be passionate about local government – we can get involved and have fun along the way."

The single will be released on all online music platforms and is also available on Helen's site here

The lyrics to the song:

No authority here Jackie Weaver, no authority at all x3
You can’t
Mrs Weaver Please

As long as we have
Reasonable behaviour
No one will be excluded from this meeting
If you disrupt this meeting I will have to remove you

Have you read the standing orders
No authority here Jackie Weaver, no authority at all x3
You don’t know what you’re talking about
Have you read and understood them
Read and understand them!
Will you please stop talking

Out she’s kicked him out
As long as we have reasonable behaviour
No one will be excluded from this meeting
Jackie Weaver’s Kicked him out!
She’s kicked him out
I have indeed
Where’s the chairman
If you disrupt, I will remove you

Will you make the change,
do you want to make a change
Can you help us make a change
Want to help, are you the change
Will you make the change
Do you want to make a change
Can you help us
Make the change
Yes you can be the change

Have you read the standing orders
No authority here Jackie Weaver, no authority at all x3
You don’t know what you’re talking about
Have you read and understood them
Read and understand them!
Will you please stop talking

Oh, oh, No
I will remove you
I will remove you
