MALPAS residents have been keeping the streets clean by undertaking a large-scale litter-picking campaign.
Recently a Facebook group – Malpas Community Action Group – was formed to help organise litter-picks around Malpas and Bickerton by local resident Shelley Vickers, with 83 people already joining.
Last weekend members of the group headed out to clean up their chosen areas, using litter-pickers lent by Malpas Parish Council.
In total members were able to collect more than 20 bags of rubbish, were left by the toilets in Malpas High Street car park for collection by the Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Following the latest pick, group organiser Shelly Vickers praised all those who took part.
"Thank you so much to Malpas Parish Council for lending us the litter picker sets, so we can clean up our beautiful village," said Shelly.
"I just want to say a massive thank you to those of you that have already been working hard over these past few weeks, cleaning up litter and tidying our village.
"You all rock."
