OFFICERS investigating a fatal collision in Overton earlier this month have issued a renewed appeal for witnesses.

Adrianna Dereszewicz, 36, from Ellesmere, died in hospital on Friday, February 5 following the collision which occurred on the evening of Wednesday, February 3 on the A539.

It saw Mrs Dereszewicz’ vehicle – a silver coloured Vauxhall Zafira - leave the road and collide with a house at approximately 7.30pm.

Following extensive enquiries police have reviewed CCTV footage which shows a car and what is believed to be a Ford Transit travelling in the opposite way and passing the Zafira moments before the collision happened.

Sergeant Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Sadly the quality of the CCTV footage isn’t great, however we can make out that a car, and a white Ford Transit pick-up type vehicle – or something similar, were captured travelling from the direction of Overton Bridge towards Overton and passed the Vauxhall Zafira moments before the collision at around 7.30pm.

“Those drivers are possibly completely unaware of what happened, however I am appealing to them to contact us as soon as possible as they may have vital information that will assist with our investigation.”

Anybody with information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is urged to contact officers at the Eastern Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via live web chat quoting reference number 21000074173.
