A NUMBER of planning applications for Whitchurch and surrounding areas have gone in front of Shropshire Council.

An application has been lodged for a pitched roof single storey side extension and erection of new boundary wall with timber fence inserts, plus surfacing of part of front garden to allow additional on-site parking following demolition of existing garage at The New House, 1A Station Road in Prees.

According to the planning statement, the application will benefit both people in the village and the owner of the property.

It says: "The application seeks consent for a pitched roof extension to the western side of this detached two storey property sited at the junction of Lighteach Road and Station Road.

"The extension will be positioned on an existing open area that currently forms part of the on-site parking provision and side garden, including a

dog kennel.

"The new boundary treatment will improve the amenities of the occupier who currently suffers from vehicle headlights shining directly into their lounge and dining room windows and will result in a visual improvement to the street scene reflecting boundary treatments of other properties in the area."

The application closes on Monday, February 22 and for more, search 21/00318/FUL.

There are also plans for a portal-framed agricultural building and roof over yard to create covered dry-yard at Park House in Tilstock.

The plans, submitted by agents Halls on behalf of the Rawlins family, show the new proposed roof over existing shutters and buildings.
