DATA released by Public Health England shows there were 88 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Whitchurch in the seven days up to Monday, January 4.

The map, which details case numbers in Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOA) showed the number of cases decreased by 69 from the previous seven-day period.

In the area of Churton, Farndon and Malpas, 55 cases were confirmed, 20 more than the week prior.

There were 49 cases confirmed in the area of Woore, Prees and Tilstock, 42 more than in the previous seven-day period.

Wem saw 50 new cases, seven more than the number reported in the seven-day period prior, while 30 new cases were reported in Ellesmere.

In Audlem, Bunbury and Wrenbury, 44 cases were confirmed, while 41 cases were confirmed in the Baschurch, Cockshutt and Harmer Hill area.
