PATIENTS of Wem and Prees Medical Practice will soon have access to Covid-19 vaccinations.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH) near Oswestry has been approved as a vaccination centre for North Shropshire and vaccines could potentially arrive at the hospital as early as this week.
However, the arrival of the vaccines has not yet been confirmed.
In a post on social media, staff at the medical centre said they were looking forward to beginning the vaccination process.
"We are very pleased and excited to say we finally have some news about vaccines, RJAH has now been approved as a vaccination centre for north Shropshire," they said.
"We are expecting vaccines to arrive this week and hope to begin vaccinating care home staff as soon as possible followed by our over 80s later this week at the RJAH.
"Please do bear with us, all of the above could change as we are dependant on the vaccines arriving when they say they will.
"This is unfortunately out of our hands but rest assured staff are offering to help in their own time at RJAH and we can't wait to get started."
