AUDLEM and District Community Action (ADCA) will continue to offer support to local residents despite current Covid-19 restrictions.

Cheshire is currently in Tier 4 and in line with this, ADCA has been forced to cancel their lunch and coffee clubs.

But despite this, they are still able to run other services, as Roger Millns from ADCA explains.

He said: "Sadly, following the surge in Covid infections locally in the Audlem area, in Cheshire East as a whole and now with the move to Tier 4 and the strong message for everyone to stay at home, we have had to do the responsible thing and make the decision to close our lunch and coffee clubs immediately.

"We will continue with our home support service and medical transport service which we are now gearing up for the expected requests to take people for their Covid vaccinations – which for now will in the Civic Hall in Nantwich.

"Hopefully, with the approval of the Oxford/AZ vaccine, it will be possible to do these in Audlem, perhaps in the Annexe which has been offered to the NHS/Council.

"ADCA staff and volunteers will keep in touch with our club members at home and continue to give them support as we aim to help people get to their vaccination appointments in Nantwich if they have no other means of getting there."
