MALPAS Parish Council has issued a reminder to road users to not leave cars parked with engines running after receiving complaints from residents.
The parish council say that cars are being left parked with engines running in Old Hall Street and near Bishop Heber High School especially.
A spokesman for the parish council has urged drivers to be more considerate, especially towards people who may have respiratory problems.
They said: "Malpas Parish Council has received a number of complaints regarding vehicles parked with the engines running on Old Hall Street, near the McCarthy and Stone development and at Oathills, near Bishop Heber High School.
"The council wishes to communicate, via local publications, that it is illegal for vehicles to park with the engines running, and harmful particularly to those with respiratory problems."
