NORTH Shropshire residents are being warned to expect snow and ice on Monday morning and afternoon., as much of the North West and Midlands woke up to a covering.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for the North West, South West, Midlands and South East, warning that rain may turn to snow in some areas, leading to difficult driving conditions.
The warning is in place from now until 6pm on Monday at the latest, with Oswestry, Whitchurch, Ellesmere and Wem likely, though not confirmed, to see snow before the day is out.
