EMERGENCY series were involved in a dramatic emergency landing at Sleap Airfield on Sunday.
The incident was reported at 3.20pm on Sunday, December 27, with reports describing an aircraft coming into land without landing gear.
Two fire crews as well as the foam pod, the incident command unit, the incident support unit and the rescue tender were mobilised from Prees, Tweedale, Wellington, Wem and Whitchurch, with operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were the land ambulance service and the police.
Fortunately the large emergency response was not needed, as the aircraft landed safely prior to arrival of fire service.
