A police car blocking the road in Sedgeford
A MAIN road through Whitchurch is currently closed following a road traffic collision.
The incident happened at around 8am in Sedgeford, with police saying the road will be closed for 'some time'.
West Mercia Police tweeted about the incidents, saying: "Road traffic incident at the junction of Sedgeford and Queensway, Whitchurch SY13 1EN.
"Road Closed at this time and is likely to be for some time."
Meanwhile Shropshire Fire and Rescue are also on the scene, confirming the road is closed.
"We are currently dealing with an RTC on Sedgeford (opposite the Rugby Club entrance), Whitchurch," said a fire service spokesman.
"The road will be closed for the next few hours so please avoid the route at this time."
