There will be Christmas cheer heading around Ellesmere in the build-up to Christmas with lockdown heroes stepping in to take on the mantle.

With the usual sleigh unable to go about its way, Kerry and Tracy Rowlands – who were behind the popular Dily the Dinosaur’s trips around town during the lockdown – will be out and about at the weekend.

Kerry says they are hioping to raise enough money to split across a number of local charities.

“Santa’s sleigh will be going around Ellesmere on December 18, 19 and 20 from 5pm,” he said.

“The Round Table couldn’t do it this year,so myself and my wife Tracy have built a sleigh and will be taking it around Ellesmere on the above dates for the joy of the children.

“All monies donated will be split between three local charities.”

The sleigh will be following the same route as Dily, where possible, and will be out from 5pm.
