NORTH Wales Police have revealed the route a stolen ambulance took as they launch an appeal for CCTV.

The emergency vehicle was taken earlier this month whilst paramedics treated a patient at a property on Green Lane in Shotton.

The ambulance was stolen and damaged and later recovered on Dee View.

The Leader previously reported that a 25-year-old man was arrested and released under investigation in connection with the incident.

Now, they have revealed the route the ambulance took after it was stolen on November 14, and are urging anyone who might have footage of the incident to get in touch.

A spokesman for the North Flintshire policing team said: "This is an update and an appeal on the Ambulance that was stolen and damaged from Green Lane in Shotton on 14th November.

"Yesterday a number of warrants were executed in relation to this incident and a man from Connah's Quay was arrested.

"Work is continuing behind the scenes on this investigation, but in the mean- time, we need your help.

"We have attached a picture of the route almost a mile long. Do you live on this route? Do you have CCTV that we haven't seen? The incident took place at almost exactly 22:00hrs that evening. Did you drive along Green Lane that day with a dash camera? If so, send us the footage!

"We are very keen to bring a prosecution in this case, ambulances are there to save lives.

"Please ensure you share this post far and wide.
