A MEMBER of staff at a KFC has tested positive for coronavirus.
The fast food giant has confirmed that an employee at its Junction Nine Retail Park branch is self-isolating after contracting Covid-19.
KFC says it is following government guidance in relation to the matter.
A spokesman said: “A team member at our KFC Junction Nine Retail Park branch tested positive for coronavirus last week, and it goes without saying we’re wishing them a full and speedy recovery.
“There haven’t been any other cases, but we asked all concerned team members to take action as per government guidance and we’re supporting them in any way we can.
“We have strict social distancing measures, including kitchen zoning and Perspex, screens in place in the restaurant and we’re in close contact with Public Health England – following all necessary steps to maintain a safe, clean environment for both our teams and guests.”
