WREXHAM Council has thanked the local law firm who have sponsored the town's Christmas tree.

Allington Hughes Law have sponsored the tree this year, which has taken centre stage in Queens Square.

Cllr Terry Evans, lead member for economic development and regeneration at the council, said: "Allington Hughes Law has sponsored the tree for many years and they certainly help to make Christmas shopping a very festive and happy occasion.

"On behalf of the council and visitors to the town centre I say a huge thank you for your continued support.

"The lights look brilliant this year and I hope many of you have the opportunity to see them and enjoy shopping in Wrexham."

Alison Stace, managing director of Allington Hughes Law, added: "It’s always a pleasure to support the town centre and to be doing something positive and practical at this time is something we are very happy to do.

"The tree looks particularly amazing this year and I hope many of you will visit to see the tree, the lights and to support town centre traders who have had a particularly difficult year this year."
