WEM residents will be able to take advantage of leftover food from supermarkets with an upcoming foodshare.
The Wem Community Foodshare will take place on Saturday, November 28, from 10am until 12noon at Wem Scout Hut.
The event is being organised by Wem Store Cupboard, and a spokesman for the group said the aim was to make sure food did not go to waste.
"Wem Food Hub Volunteers collect left over food from supermarkets which is still good to eat but can no longer be sold in the shops," they said.
"Please come along and help prevent good food going to waste."
The event is available for all and will operate on a 'pay what you can afford' basis.
