CHESHIRE Police has confirmed is has found the body of a missing Malpas on Monday.

Police were searching for Martin Gordon, aged 30, after he went missing on November 1.

The force confirmed on Twitter that the body of Mr Gordon was found in Farndon on Monday.

The family of Mr Gordon has been informed, police have confirmed.

A tweet posted by Cheshire Police read: “Sadly, officers found missing Malpas man Martin Gordon’s body in the River Dee in Farndon today.

“His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

“Thanks to all those who played a part in the search for Martin.”

Tributes have been paid on social media by family and friends of Mr Gordon.
