CREATIVE pupils at Newton Primary School in Chester are staging a Scarecrow Trail around Newton, Hoole and Upton.
More than 65 scarecrows have been entered by pupils at Newton Primary School to offer a safe, socially distanced alternative to trick-or-treating this October half-term.
Organiser Nic Howarth, from Newton Primary’s PTA, said: "We wanted to do something fun for local children over half term, that was Covid-safe and creative while raising much needed funds for our PTA.
"Families should wrap up warm to explore the trail."
The Scarecrows are located in front gardens, windows and local businesses and the event will run until Sunday, November 1.
To take part, families are encouraged to get a map from Hoole Food Market or the school's Gateway at https://pta.vipmembervault.com/products/courses/view/1049644 .
All proceeds go to the school's PTA charity.
