DATA released by Public Health England shows there were six new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Whitchurch in the seven days up to Saturday, October 17.

The map, which details case numbers in Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOA), showed there were 283 cases overall in Shropshire, which was up by 12 from the previous seven-day period.

It also shows there were 15 cases in the area of Churton, Farndon and Malpas and 16 in the area of Woore, Prees and Tilstock.

Seven cases were reported in the area of Audlem, Bunbury and Wrenbury, while four were confirmed in Wem.

There were four cases in the area of Baschurch, Cockshutt and Harmer Hill and three in Ellesmere.

Fewer than three cases were reported in three.
