HAWKSTONE Park Follies is asking children to join them this half term and Halloween to undertake a special spooky quest.

Young explorers will need to follow the Halloween trail to find the letters which when spelled out will reveal the location of a missing pumpkin.

If successful, children will be awarded a Pumpkin Detective Certificate.

Follies park manager, Howard Fox, hoped visitors would enjoy the family-friendly event.

"Our cheeky trolls have really captured the imagination of our young visitors who love trying to find them," he said. "Unfortunately, this mischievous bunch have lost a pumpkin, so we need some help finding it.

"This fun trail through our 100 acres of parkland and Grade I listed landscape of caves, bridges, tree lined walks, sandstone hills and towers, is the perfect way to get children enjoying some fresh autumn air and exercise in the great outdoors – with none of the scariness that often goes with Halloween events.

"We hope families will join us this half term."

The Halloween trail will run from October 24 until the November 1.

Tickets for the Follies Park are now sold per car – £21 for a car with up to three people and £27 for a car with up to seven people and under threes go free.

Arrival is from 10am and the last entry will be at 2pm and tickets can only be purchased in advance online at www.hawkstoneparkfollies.co.uk
