THE Whitchurch Herald Camera Club has once again captured a wonderful array of pictures.

Often enough we do not see the beauty all around us.

Whether that is because we are too busy or perhaps we do not know where to look.

Sometimes it can take patience or other cases it is all about patience.

Certainly our camera club members have patience in abundance and an eye for a picture which comes natural to a fortunate few and for others can take many years of practise.

It was former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill who said: “All the great things are simple” and it is certainly difficult to argue when you look at the simplicities of nature which have gone unchanged for millennia.

This beauty can be found all around.

Whether that be the insects or blooming flower in our gardens or mushrooming fungus or even far above us in the clouds

The things that move us are the things that motivate us and make life worth living – all the more so in such troubled times that we are now all experiencing.

The famous Italian actress Eleanora Duse said: “If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.”

It is hard to argue with such sentiments so keep on enjoying the simple things.
