ANOTHER hit show is set to appear at Soulton Hall near Wem this month, with a special outdoor performance of 'Neville's Island'.

The show will take place on Sunday, September 20 and will be hosted by the award-winning theatre company Sudden Impulse Theatre Company.

Having been performed at Fringe Festivals Neville's Island is a hit comedy by Tim Firth of Calendar Girls fame.

It tells the story of four out of condition middle managers who are sent on an outward-bound management training course, with various degrees of enthusiasm.

Their first activity does not go quite according to plan when following a series of clues they venture out on to Derwentwater in a rowing boat in thick fog.

After a rather unfortunate steering incident and an encounter with a rock the boat sinks and they are forced to swim to the shore of one of the islands in the middle of the lake.

They become the first people shipwrecked in the middle of the Lake District.

The show's organisers say they are delighted to be coming to Soulton Hall and performing in outdoors in the grounds in a Covid safe environment.

The show starts at 6pm and will finish around 8.30pm.

Customers will be able to bring their own picnic with drink and half-time ice creams available to purchase at the Hall.

As the sun sets during the show the audience may feel connected to the character's plight but audience members are advised to wrap up warm and bring a blanket.

It is outdoor lawn seating so attendees are also advised to bring their own camping chairs.

Tickets are £13 and £11 and are available at the Soulton Hall website or www.suddenimpulse.co.uk
