A MAJOR refurbishment and improvement project at a retirement scheme in Ellesmere has been finished.

The work was carried out by award-winning family business Heritage Glass Group, based in Shrewsbury, who finished the major £50,000 refurbishment and improvement project at the Oswestry Road Retirement Scheme in Ellesmere.

The Independent Living Scheme caters for people living in the 27 bungalows on the development, under the management of scheme manager Alyson Davenport.

She admits they she and her fellow staff at the scheme are absolutely delighted with the project.

She added: "As a housing provider with a nearly 100-year history of working in the Midlands it’s really important for us to shop locally.

"It’s great that we have a top quality supplier like Heritage Glass right on our doorstep.

“We’re delighted with the whole service we’ve received from Heritage, who we know are reliable from previous work they’ve done for us.

"The installation team were friendly and efficient, while the new products look fantastic and have really brightened up our residents’ homes.”

The project involved the replacement of guttering and the installation of clad soffits and fascias.

Anthony Randall, managing director for the Heritage Glass Group said the work was a continuation of previous projects undertaken by his family.

He added: “I am proud to say that the original windows we installed 10 years ago under the guidance and expertise of my late father David are still providing a warm and comfortable living experience.

"And I am delighted to have completed this project that is another 21st anniversary success story, and one that continues his legacy to the customers he loved and served."

Heritage Glass provides UPVC windows, doors and conservatories, warm roofs and fascias and soffits plus electric garage doors, secondary glazed units and timber and aluminium bi-fold doors and windows.
