A VAN driver in Tilston had to be rescued by firefighters on Wednesday evening after overturning his vehicle.
At around 8.40pm firefighters were informed of a van having overturned in Duckington Lane, Tilston and someone being trapped inside it.
The vehicle was on its side on arrival and the road was closed by the police as emergency services worked at the scene.
The casualty was assessed by paramedics before firefighters used specialist equipment to get him out of the van via a window.
He was then handed over to the care of the paramedics.
Two fire engines attended the scene, from Whitchurch and Chester and were in attendance for more than an hour.
